Lit Lab: Macbeth Mastery - Tues 6.15pm

Course Description

- A six week course designed to help students master Macbeth - All lessons run on Zoom - Review the key characters, themes, context and ideas you need for the exams - Learn how to turn your ideas into high-level analysis - Model answers and proven essay structures - Weekly homework marked by an examiner - First hand insights into how to achieve a top mark in GCSE English Literature​​ - Small, supported groups of no more than 8 students - Suitable for all exam boards - £20 per lesson Each lesson focuses on key characters and their connections to a central theme, developing students’ understanding of Shakespeare’s ideas and methods. Students will then apply their knowledge through exam practice, learning how to develop insightful analysis and craft high-level responses to exam-style questions. Week 1: Macbeth and Ambition Week 2: Lady Macbeth and Guilt Week 3: The Witches and Appearance vs. Reality Week 4: Macbeth & Lady Macbeth's Relationship and Power Week 5: Banquo, Macduff and Violence Week 6: Duncan, Malcolm, Macbeth and Kingship
